It was all BYO accommodation... Route: Tara, St George, Bollon, Cunumulla, Dynevor Downs, thargominda, Private property at Bulloo River, out to the 'Lakes' on the Qld NSW border, Noccundra and various local flying. We did the 405nm out to Bulloo in two days (one on return), took about 7hrs flight time each way and then did about another 26hrs or so around the 'local' area. Camera is a GoPro HD. Away from home ATM so that is about all I can bring myself to 'report' while typing on the iPad... :)

It is GoPro Maj. Actually this Drifter doesn't have very much of the typical Drifter tail shake, even near stall it seems to have a pretty good airflow and gets a very lazy lower frequency wobble going rather than a shake. A lot of the 'wobble' you see in the video is actually from the digital image sensors getting vibration interference, you can see how it sort of comes in waves and the frequency changes with different RPM. Yes of course things are moving around and flexing but it is hard for me to discern what is camera and what is actually happening in the physical world from the video, I am actually surprised there isn't more apparent.

You can always just start your own gallery on here as well http://www.recreationalflying.com/useralbums/ Upload them and then open them in your browser and right click "copy image location" then in your post click on the insert image (the little tree) right click in there and paste the image address you just copied... Yeh I just love the scenery up on the Downs sometimes, the patterns in the crops and landscape are pretty special. I saw a series of small dams that had a channel/overflow system that looked like an absolute work of earthmoving art but couldn't reach the camera to get a photo. Not much left under that 'hat' Pud unfortunately... though it is actually just a balaclava type thing to keep the sun off, I will be changing the radio over and normally use a helmet which will be back on the noggin once that is in.

  19. You can get a USB adapter http://store.apple.com/au/product/MC531ZM/A I think it is probably a compatibility issue... some Bluetooth devices simply will not talk to each other
  20. About time that thing went for a fly Tomo, I bet you have motivated him now to do more of the same himself

Went for a run out west yesterday to catch up with a mate and do some general tweaks on the Drifter. Heading out I was in a bit of a hurry so never mounted the camera, would have made for some nice shots with lowish cloud forcing me through 'the Gap' proper... Here a few screen captures from the Go pro Video on the way back.
  23. These are a handy little mount that can be used on struts, poles etc with a bit of duct tape to help fix it in place http://www.mec.ca/AST/ShopMEC/Electronics/CameraAccessories/PRD~1705-102/uco-ultrapod-small-tripod.jsp Also use the open rear door unless you have the moisture pads to put in the water proof housing... lost lots of footage due to fogging.

Hey Skyfox looks like you have a real small TW on that or is it sitting in a hole? Very high AoA going by the fuse tube. Nice Tomo! know them both well... also did my first FW solo in 208... had to use thermals to get to circuit height when two up
