  1. If you are using OzRunways, the recent update now allows tracking, so emergency services can find you easier, also others, such as family or instructors can track you live. A great addition in my book
  2. As long as you don't meet up with Philip McCavity while your doon there, you'll be fine....
  3. The Aeroprakt website has the POH for the A22LS quotes 104 mph which equates to a touch over 90 knots...

  6. I can hear the screams of "jobs for the boys" already:rofl:
  7. Yeah, I don't buy that. That is thirty to 45 feet away, and they didn't notice the wreckage until someone was driving away? Must be thick scrub...... Or maybe sensationalist reporting .

  9. Anybody consider that maybe it's the dogs owner that should have been drowned and butchered? You want to keep animals, then you take responsibility for their well being and their actions.....
  10. Hi Tassie Triker, The following links are about spiral dive recovery. I also agree with Sib about consulting your instructor. http://www.trikepilot.com/videos/view/henry-trikelife-escapes-serious-spiral-dive_21048.html http://www.trikepilot.com/members/profile/163/blog-view/spiral-dive-test_795.html http://www.trikepilot.com/videos/view/spiral-dive_18893.html?m=163
  11. I asked that this thread be split earlier, nothing happened. If you're going to pay out on Stevie, then how about you go back and have a look at the blatant advertising by a site sponsor ( which is probably why the thread wasn't split)
  12. But if you are in a truck..............
  13. Are people being punished for failing a ramp check at a social event? I've heard plenty of complaints about the inconvenience, but haven't heard of an actual penalty being given.

  15. So, what went wrong in the two above mentioned tragedies? If your system is going to work, what are you going to change. They say the one that went into the sea had just been professionaly rebuilt and a new wing fitted, why wasn't he given advice to have transition training? If he was why didn't he take it? At least one instructor new of the Glen Innes pilots intention to buy a higher performance trike, if nobody else new, I bet Airborne did. Perhaps they could put a warning notice on the outside of the box. So do we tolerate a couple of fatalities a year and mark that down to people ignoring advice?
  16. And the same at Glen Innes. I believe we need to start categorising the different wings, and mandating a pilot endorsement on type.
  17. Better get your calculator out, 100 deaths in 33 years.....
  18. It's an Evolution trikes wing on an AirCreation trike, so I'm guessing it was an Australian wing traded on a later model and on sold to a U.S. customer. They don't require numbers on the wing over there so probably easier to leave them on than try to remove.
  19. I think it's ok if you have them desexed and microchipped.....
  20. Are you using Viton O rings? I have used them in a hydraulic application and they increased the maintenance interval ten fold.
  21. I have compacted gravel, with a layer of plastic then second hand carpet. It's nice to kneel on when you are pumping up the tyres. Another bloke I know used recycled concrete then helicoptered in extra cement in the surface. You need to be told it is not concrete..
