I'm learning at Lilydale. It's not too far from my place and a much nicer trip (and training area) than Essendon, which was just a little closer. Moorabin, Tyabb, etc were just too far to make them a practical option. Onwards and upwards! Gav.

Hi guys, After a very long wait, I've finally got my first flight in my pilots log. I was in the Air Training Corps as a kid and went up in their Cessna 172 plenty of times, but never had the money to get started. I'm sure it's a common story, then married, then kids, and now I have made the decision and the time to finally get airborne. You'll be seeing me round! Onwards and upwards! Gav.

My last flight, on Sunday morning, was incidentally also my first (well, first of official instruction anyway). The usual, 0.8 hours, effects of controls. It was beautiful conditions for flying, instructor seems like a real nice bloke and the flying school very friendly. Onwards and upwards! Gav.
