  10. I haven't flown the 160 but have heard its more positive to land. Also John I am getting excellent service from Jabiru and have been to Bundy to check out their operation first hand. My 170 should be ready at the end if this month so I will let you know how it goes. Cheers

  12. Thanks will do.
  13. Gday John, have been doing conversion from GA and read Review on this site and liked handling characteristics of the 170 which is similar toWarriors I have flown. The 170 Review I read written by an obviously experienced and un biased Pilot answered all the things I needed to know and just suited me perfectly for what I wanted. I also considered a 230 but just couldnt justify the extra $15K and the 170 has greater payload for not that much less speed. Have you seen the Pilot Flight Reviews of all the JAB models on this site? Regards Roscoe
  14. Hello John I am also a new member and an picking up my new J170D at the end if this month. Lets keep in touch! Roscoe
  15. Frank/Bill Thanks for your replies. Really starting to feel likeive joined a "community" of people who are passionate about their flying and willing to share their experience and information. I have amassed 2 hours in the J170 on my way to conversion of my GA Licence and i must say, after Cherokees and Cessnas, its like starting all over again but what a great journey!! Back to basics and loving it,, Cheers Roscoe
  16. Thanks Mate, yes i have read a few Reviews comparing them. Have pretty much settled on the 170 which seems like a good fit between the 160 and the 230 which is out of my budget! Cheers Roscoe
  17. Gday John I am looking closely at a new J170D also in March so maybe we can hook up and fly in formation out of Bundy. I will be going up to the Jab Factory next month (from Sydney) to have a chat to the Jab guys. Keep in touch Cheers Roscoe
  18. Gday Phil, i use a padded cushion so it smoothes the bumps!! Im a skinny guy so i dont have a problem with room in the cockpit. Happy Flying Roscoe
  19. Thanks Peter Appreciate the info. Ive also looked into the 230 but i think the 170 will do me fine. Meanwhile, am enjoying the transition and will keep in touch Cheers Roscoe
