    Was the accident investigated with the guy doing aero in the drifter and wing failed. I remember reading what looked like a official report.

    I going to put this out there. if there was some sort of airframe failure. And he had a ballistic chute lives might of been saved

    I think as pilots and armchair experts as we would like to call us would like to know what happend. And turbo is right we will never find what happend to this pilot and his aircraft.

    I have this picture of the same aircraft that was parked at archerfield. but it still has US rego. but it has the same paint.

    Yes it was. And at the time i rang there A32 was getting fixed because of a bent nose wheel.

    A while ago i rang a schoo; in QLD who had the a vixen on line and ask to get check out in it. they siad that i was better off flying the A22 for a few hours. they siad the vixen can be a handful to fly

    Some people are saying there was not fuel in the tanks. would these aircraft have a low fuel warning light or buzzer? was the engine still running? did she tell ATC she was low on fuel.

    I had a read of that report. it was a lot he said she said going on.
