would you guys think this is a bumpy ride

when I was flying GA aircraft I went to the training area and I returned to point cook and encountered big gusting winds in the in the circuit area! had to give it a lot of throttle to get it on the ground. Also I agree if you where riding race bike at 3000ft it would be a different story. I also am big on flying in the right condition's but some time if you book a hire aircraft they will charge you a cancel fee. if you are not liking the weather

yes I agree. but when I discuss this issue with people who know me. say but you have raced motorcycles isn't that far riskier?

Yes we still live in an age where men are men and the rest of us are pussies. but feel talking about it in this forum helps. And its great to see yourself and others sharing there stories and giving helpful advise.

You're right Nev this has been a ongoing monkey on my back. but there has been improvements over the year. So I feel its worth the stress. I have flown low and high wing aircraft and it seems to me that low wings ride the bumps better. but I could be wrong. At the moment I fly a sling out of caboolture and they seem to be a very popular aircraft at the moment. what I will do is start recording my flight and on my gopro and keep up dating my progress here.

All good options. I have a pax endorsement but will have to find a volunteer to come up with me LOL and caboolture has gliders so I could go up with them.

I haven't flown for a few months because of my last hiccup. So I will have to go with a instructor to get checked out. then work it from there. Spooks I fly a sling and will look up how it made this could help.

I also think that I am over thinking it and taking the fun out of it. I need to reverse that issue. Also I would like to thank every one for sharing there I don't like turbulence stories. makes me feel I am not alone.

I am going to look at a different approach. start flying out to the 25nm range small steps. could work.

Its hard to say about leaving the nest. it could be ridding the bumps all the way back home. its funny you mention the BRS and think the wings are going to fall off. I some times wonder if flying a aircraft with one would have the positive effect. Like when they test drugs on people. give half the group the real drug and other half fake. but we don't have issues driving down roads with potholes.

I have been dancing around this issue for a long time. has improved over the years that but not to a stage where I will finish my RAA nav endorsement. I have this if I get to far from the nest issue and the bumps set me off to. and I would love to know why this happens.

Hi Geoff I am going to wait. need to shed some weight first which I am doing now. then go up in a drifter so I make sure I don't sh.. bricks then look at getting into a share in one.

ok. I watch it in 720hd very clear very nice POV. And very close base and finals. but I suppose you can do that with a drifter.
