    That maj for going into that detail for me. the picture of the drifter i viewed must have been on a long trip as it had what looked like two 20lt plastic jerry cans.

    Hi i have seen a few drifters with plastic drums straped to the back seat are they extra fuel or for balist or both.

    Well after five years as a motocycle courier and raceing motocycles i thought i would do something safe like flying planes.

    you have more chance of getting killed driveing to the airport or crossing the road.

    The pilot in the chopper called him three times before he responded. i was busy keeping an eye on everyone and flying.and whats more alarming i was told a CFI was in the aircraft.

    Was out flying friday morning doing stalls and force landing revision. And when finish headed back to the Airfield to join up and land. winds where in favor of 14 and as we joined cross wind for that runway a aircraft siad that they where taking off from 32 ? then a chopper called who was hovering at the end of 14 to say that the winds favored 14 and we where calling the aircraft and 32 and he was just sitting there. I don't know if he had his radio down or he just was not listening to us Whiles where going around in circles.

    I would be thinking the same thing and i am lucky my wife is not heavy packer.

    worked out that with my weight and 80 percent fuel i could carry a 75kg pax.

    I have never flown in a rag and tube and never thought of the fact that you could lose your maps in the wind very funny.

    Wallan airport was a great spot. what happend was the local council was offered a bucket load of money by a developer to put houses there. And the council siad no because we care about pilots! Hang on that not right they took the money and lived happy ever after:cheers:

    I have to go back to solo soon. So being a fat basterd should not be a issue. And if robinsm has not issue in his Xair i should be fine in a sports star.

    going from 160kg to 78 i take my hat off to you. And trying to get back on a jet ski when you are heavy is not easy.
