    The only advice i have for people on fuel is to stay away from HI octane Puma fuel.

    I have the what's referred to as a study level Q400 on the Prepar3d V4 made by majestic software. its made for training Q400 pilots so he could of had access to that.

    I looked up the street on google maps. if it was a engine failure he was so close to making the field.

    I just read the report from the age. Saying things like we live in fear of the planes and I just drove down that street with my 5 year old in the car just before the crash.

    Well i am a HC fuel tanker driver with DG ticket that requires a medical. you would think that would be enough. About two years ago i wanted to fly out of the airport closest to where i lived so i needed a class 2 went and did the medical was up front. and all i got was heaps of questions for you know who and told i would need to provide all these follow up tests. and didn't think it was worth it at the time.

    So what i read on the CASA site about the changes that come into effect mid 2018 are not going to happen now?

    Burt wouldn't there be a lot of X GA flyers here who have done there training on 150s and 152s that would like get back in those aircraft type. I am waiting for CASA to change the medical so i can fly GA again.

    They were not in a sim. they did like a boss because they flew the plane and got that on fire plane back on the ground and everyone lived. And that is the only thing that matters

    The pilots had a engine fire after V1 and got back one the ground with the engine still on fire.
