  1. :sleep:It has been very quiet around the corridors of the NES whilst preparations are being made for the big wedding. Even Air Marshall Ditdahs promotion had passed by without even a paper clipping in the local:sad: Long enough for:beg: BigBrassPete:queen: to play with rubber donuts & fantasize about railway landings (forgetting that he would need to hold off the nose wheel for the entire landing:DirtDOG:) & to make his band practice OoompapaAHs daily in the streets of Aaahchuca. The famous regional telivision director :cool:Alfred Ahlocks was in his bathroom practicing finger clicks:rilla:, readying himself to direct the live local one camera TV coverage for BULDUS TV in Dalby. Darksaki & Knobu were trying to beach the Subrolla, so they could drive it to the big event, but may need to stay afloat because of the "Perfectly Wet Every Day" Qld weather (not that there's anything wrong with that). Best man :clown:Spameron was trying out his jokes for his speech on the unsuspecting chat room inhabitants.:scratch head: Mean while, while all this preparation was happening, sneaking around the edges of NES, :ymca: CaptainRattyventmanager had been plotting with Tubzytuba, Bryonbeatnick :drums: & the :banned:keyboard player of BBP's band. They met in the darkness of night in the Waggx2 hanger & were plotting to.......:dog::confused:

  15. MrH thought about :star:RegalPeteI'mtheKing's reply... Many posts ago he had almost worn the seat of the NES throne out, when suddenly he & all the iconmotions were gone.. That's when the very sneaky Gold tooth rat:devil: made his move & snuck in to take over the 'stool' (so to speak) It would be a BigbashingPete needed to get that rat off the throne now:exclamation: All the NES :clap:audience were waiting in anticipation, what would BigheroicIconicPete do to the rat to regain his rightful position on the NES throne......

  21. The last time I was at Temora I went to the Aviation Museum. The dispaly hanger had a wonderful oily smell & I was interested to see that all the aircraft on display could actually fly, so I figured I should check it out one day. This weekend was a Fly day so I headed off late afternoon Friday to see Saturdays display. It was a very professionally run set up. The flight line looked fantastic with quite a range of history lined up. There was a Tiger Moth, Ryan, Auster, Steerman, Kitty Hawk, Boomerang, Canbera, Spitfire, Wirraway, Catalina, Harvard, Meteor, Vampire, Sabre, & Cessna Dragonfly. The commentary was excellent with a good mix of facts about the aircraft, the history as to how it ended up in the museum & the part the aircraft played in history. Each aircraft was started up in front of the big crowd, some of the sounds were phenominal. Then they taxied off to perform there flying displays in front of the crowd. At the end of each display the pilots were interviewed & they described what it was like to fly these historic aircraft. After the last display the crowd were given access to the flight line where you could get up close & personal & also have the opportunity to speak to the pilots. All up it was a most enjoyable day  & would suggest if you are heading up that way to check out the Events here or the Museum Web page to see if a Flying weekend is on. It's worth the detour. H Having trouble attching pictures, oh well:juggle:
