    Another truck driver and shortly afterwards a nurse. The boys from jayrow were responding to the mayday and landed about a minute after I started first aid on the one I removed. They took over from me as I was working with a predamaged shoulder. Spotted at least 6 aircraft within 5 minutes and had a full crew within 7. Air ambo was almost first on scene. Air services need a pat on the back. Got damn busy, damn fast. Truck driver did a runner as soon as the first cop car turned up. ;)

    The injuries I witnessed wouldn't discount it. :( I was faced with a horrible choice.. hence one was removed from the aircraft.

    I was first on scene by chance. I'm happy to share what I saw but just want some guidance as to tact and the investagation.. Both pilots were airlifted in a critical state but both expect to survive. The injuries are significant.

    FOS. Both airlifted. One critical and one serious. Ambos had hope for the student. Instructor had facial injuries. Statements already been given.

    Always used 'arrange' access via the fuel boys. Never a problem and was escorted by the fuel truck. ;). As long as your within their sight your supervised.

    The oh&s site manager got it. I couldn't see it as my view from the truck was level with top of wing. Yes he was that low. Very unhappy road workers. Mind you if he hit some heavy earthmoving equipment he may have done us all a favour.

    To the moron flying at fence height along the western freeway this morning in the white trike, I would suggest you get in urgent contact with casa. Your details have been passed to HFGA, RAAus and casa. The CFMEU are also interested in a back lane way discussion. - fence height over the top of road workers. I did find it amazing that you didn't kill your self when you flew under the high tension power lines and over the fence and just missed the excavator. Then flew at same height for over 10km along the roadworks. Dumb, very dumb. Hand your ticket in. If I see you around the traps I will be having a stern discussion with you. Giles Gibson...... (Happy to put my name on this). Suspect he came out of ballarat.

    Love the comment about pilots landing on the beach.. I suspect he didn't have much choice. Da dum.

    Used to hack coke vending machines in a similar manner in my youth. Buy one get four free. Funny how coke changed their software after about 12 months.
