  6. Your BFR has a mandatory navigation component to it now, if you hold a nav endorsement.
  7. You will need the 3G/WiFi version as it has inbuilt GPS, it you just get the WiFi only vxersion you will have to buy a plugin GPS . I have the 3G/WiFi 16gb iPad3. I tether it to my android Telstra phone for internet access when I need it. Works well.

I had an asi failure during my training with my instructor, he made me continue with the circuit and showed me as long as the power and attitude are correct you will be fine, also helps if you know the aircraft. Glad it happened then and not on first solo or something, major pucker factor and possible wrong decision if I hadn't already experienced it...

  21. I did one nav in a j230 and looking at the flight log at 110 knots the fuel burn was 22 l/ ph, not sure at 90kn the j230 is not happy at 90 knots ;)
  22. What is the variable fuel reserve exactly.? I see it does not apply to private operations.?
