  1. Entirely up to you skippy. The nature of our sport.
  2. Have you tried using hard sponge like industrial flooring with holes punched into it. A friend has a number of them with different sized holes punched into them. Different air temps he changes the blocking screen. The airflow holds the screen against the oil cooler. Simples.
  3. Is there a difference in “being trained in “ and “being used for training “? Different concepts to my understanding.
  4. ABC is reporting a paraglider, it looks like a microlight/trike, has impacted the earth with fatal consequence. It has occurred near Colac apparently. So sad for many.
  5. Turbo are you suggesting that the Dandenong protesters had ASICs?
  6. TheABC is reporting that it was an aborted takeoff and the damage occurred when landing hard. Maybe damage occurred during takeoff?
  7. Ask D Trump, it’s all fake news.
  8. The wing is only manageable in light winds though.
  9. Unfortunately many passengers have realised that they can gain express boarding by requesting mobility assistance. They have an amazing recovery as soon as the plane lands. I have seen this happen a number of times.
  10. Bad luck if it blue screens. Steam gauges won’t all die simultaneously.
  11. I have a similar style from supercheap but use clear tube to connect to the bleed screw just to monitor the fluid.
  12. Thanks for your trip report. We are very fortunate being able to enjoy the freedom to do things such as this.
  13. Stated in the report that this is not connected to the air show.
  14. Loved the Facit, a couple forward or a couple of backwards and dada
  15. The scientific world use the Systems Internationale units of MKSA
  16. 23 prefix is also used for lsa
  17. An average Vixxen approaches AUD200K.
  18. I had been flying my Kitfox for more than 10 years when I purchased my Foxbat. The throttle is in the opposite hand as were the joysticks. Further the Kitfox was a taildragger with differential toe brakes compared to the Foxbat with the training wheel up front and central hand operated brakes. The transition required real concentration for a few landings but soon became acceptable. Good for the brain to move out of your comfort zone I think.
  19. GWH, have you tried warming the decals with a hair dryer. It is normally enough to soften the adhesive. Don’t just keep the heat on a small spot rather gradually warm up maybe half the word.
  20. Camit went broke because they upscaled their production capacity with new huge cnc machines a couple of months before the global financial crisis. Their production was good quality but they couldn’t sell the product particularly into the US. As an aside, they improved their version of the engine which was sold under their name but Jabiru did not want the changes.
  21. Enlighten us please.
  22. Maybe we shouldn’t buy iPads and iPhones because they are made in China too.
  23. At the Ausfly events I participated in at Narromine and Temora, the ground radio operators were purely advisory. They did not and stated they would not control the traffic. They were controllers professionally. Amazingly at Narromine one aircraft landed against the established traffic pattern when another aircraft was departing without making any radio calls. Same runway.
