  9. I agree with Ben, Although I haven't been flying for long I am very lucky to have an instructor who attitude to safety is second to none, but in early days with my Motorbike riding and especially racing I was always taking risks and alot of them weren't calculated and I am lucky to have never cost myself my life or my health. But as Ben said I to have a wife to come home to and responsibilities and it's amazing how much it grounds you.
  10. A horrible outcome from a desperate situation. As said it costed four. Definately not an idiot
  11. Then you would have to ask why and if they have something to hide?
  12. I agree but the only issue with that is I am guessing there is more Jabs in service with schools than there is privately so with a mounting kit not made and approved by Jabiru the aircraft can never be used by a school. Secondly I would think the re-sale of the Jabs with that mod would be quite low if schools are taken out of the market.
  13. Sorry:laugh:
  14. Couldn't agree more Skydog, It would feel the same as driving an Ex Taxi EA falcon on the Dakar rally, you would be waiting for the "BANG"
  15. It's about 20k to expensive:laugh: As others have said why waste money burning 25lt hour at a 90knts when you can burn 15 at 100knts. I can understand a 120 or 140 for the vintage feel or even a cub but a dirty old cessna 150thumb_down
  16. Farri, I am far from an expert but as a trike doesn't have a rudder it can't be intentially yawed. So from what I understand to induce a side slip you use rudder and opposite aileron (Ithink) I guess they can't.
  17. OOPS Sorry I am crap with remembering names. I was the one who was luck enough to win the torch after "Crankshaft" kindly re-drawed it.
  18. Well this might start a few fires but the churches might think of spending some of the thousands of dollars that they get from their followers every year instead of lining their pockets. Why should they expect pilots to do a dangerous job for low money or free when they open their hands to every handout they can get. The catholic church is the owner of some of the most expensive real estate in the world yet they can't afford pilots. What a CROK:angry:
  19. I too attended a Line Maint course today but at the Flying Tiger's Hangar at Boonah. I would like to extend a big thank you to the guys there especially Wayne who did all the talking. Wayne's Savanagh is a testerment to his knowledge aswell and the build quality is nothing short of fantastic. Thanks again guys and I reccomend to anyone who hasn't visited Boonah airfield to go for a look as there is a great variety of aircraft around Gliders, Lightwings, 75% scale Cub and Drifters to name a few.
  20. Too right, The wide Bay Airshows main highlight was Pip, between his flying and racing the Bandag Bullit he is ureplacable:crying:
