    Sarina Aeromodellers Club is a great bunch of blokes. I don't get to attend as much as I would like to due to work commitments sadly. No politics just a bunch of blokes having a great time. This past weekend they even went R/C speed boating due to all the rain we have had. If anyone is up this way you should attend the Old Timer flying comp coming up in July...should be a great weekend camping on the airstrip...and running Combat and control line and anything else also between the formal comps.

    This Libelle DLG... Flew beautifully on it's maiden today...got plenty of lift off a tiny dune at Far Beach in Mackay in less than 5 knots...

    Does anyone know what became of John Johansson? Did he just fade away into the background after all his record flights? Does he still fly?

    I don't think too many people evacuated. Where were they going to evacuate too??? My wife took the kids to work at the Hospital and stayed there. I didn't believe the evacuation order and stayed home with the cats. You just have to laugh when they say evacuate. It's happened two times since we've been in this house now and I'm bugger if I know where they think we are gong to evacuate too.
