    I wonder if Aerochute sells their machines without rego? Is it legal for a local aircraft manufacturer to sell an unregistered aircraft? I would imagine even if this aircraft is unregistered it probably has been in the past. Maybe CASA will still be asking Ra-Aus questions because aircraft disappearing off the register would be something that they expect Ra-Aus to be checkin on....? If you just fail to re-register your aircraft does CASA or Ra-Aus just forget the machine ever existed? Or is their paper work required?

    And by the way...this is getting BIG publicity. Perhaps BAD publicity. I came across this on Social Media before coming to this sight and finding this thread. I think there were a lot of locals with their smartphones pointed at the sky who may now sharing.

    I was wondering about that... I have seen this Aerochute in town...at least I imagine there is only one. He won't be hard to find. It's not such a big place.

    Yep...but never let the obvious get in the way of a good 'story'... Just human nature for a certain percentage I guess.

    If it is a standard feature of that aircraft yes. I am saying that does not always seem the case.

    So would I be correct in that the problem is people tend to quote the constant speed prop/best case scenario cruise speed when selling the finer points of an aeroplane?

    Not to mention a heap of old movies and TV series... and I mean A HEAP! For instance...Check this out!!! This was about the best TV series ever made...no kidding.

    It sounds like the Board may have put some work into this lately and good on you guys. The problem as I read it...and I ain't no PPC expert by any means...is that the statement released from Ra-Aus indicates that it is still a case of being forced by the regulator to only apply band aid measures... like I say...not the boards fault. PPC requires less regulation...and that is a hard thing to achieve...?

    It does appear to be a complete mash up by...someone. Ra-Aus seemed to write their regulations based around a single and specific model of PPC... It really does need to be addressed IMO. It is very strange it hasn't been addressed.

    Wow Geoff!!! That was an awesome read. I don't mean to make light of the seriousness but it literally had me on the edge of my seat. And I think I literally cheered when the smoke cleared. I think you succeeded wonderfully. I am sure I could' t have done better in the same circumstances.
