  1. Why does it have to be 912 powered?
  2. http://www.xcmag.com/2014/03/parafly-sim-looking-for-beta-testers/
  3. No problem... ASIC is a bloody scam... Done.
  4. Yes Mate...and...Nah Mate....Maj Millard (from this sight and now NQ Board Rep) and myself flew to Temora a couple of years ago in his Lightwing GR912 from North Queensland... Townsville-Marian-Springsure-Charleville-Bourke-over The Dish-Narromine-Temora....2500 odd Nautical Miles there and back... Was a bloody awesome trip.
  5. You just gotta hang the Mrs off the other strut to balance the load...
  6. Since when is 75 knots slow for an ultralight?
  7. These new LSAs should have GA rego on the side. Someone should have fixed GA instead of hijacking Ra-Aus imo.
  8. Not sure about Malaysia...but I can tell you 100% accjrately from my ex airline freight experience that there is NO SCREENING OF FREIGHT WHATSOEVER in regional airports...
  9. Something like this would tick all my boxes...
  10. Hidden dangerous goods is by far...like really far...the biggest danger in Airline travel...
  11. I very much doubt it was terrorist related...
  12. Mostly the "recognized" factories are just a bunch of guys in a shed...
  13. Toowoomba may as well be Birdsville for it's lack of proper RPT. It is a shame AUF left Brisbane as there was nothing wrong with it being there.
  14. Regional airports may have airline access...but it is meaningless unless there is some competition to keep the prices down...Rex etc doesn't count as viable airline transport. I am guessing Mackay is too far north BUT.. it has good access with completion from major airline nation wide... This property would be perfect and already has an airstrip...and perfect flying weather...buy it outright for $1 million and make an income leasing the farm... http://m.domain.com.au/listing/2010812300
  15. When I worked in the Airline industry the contractor wages paid by Virgin were a good deal better than Qantas were paying...and Virgin was paying peanuts. Perhaps some proof of the over the top wage claims would be nice or stfu.
  16. I would add RV3s to that equation too... http://www.atsb.gov.au/publications/investigation_reports/2000/aair/aair200000885.aspx
  17. They are nice...but...they aren't a Cub...and they are "driven" from the front seat. I reckon the original J3 still has a special appeal. If it was a case of buying the best Cub-a-like currently on the market the Savages wins...but I would want more.
  18. I reckon the clipped wing Cub with 100hp would be about as good an LSA as money could buy...shame the companies selling "souped up" new Cubs dont have one in their product line...KISS.
  19. Seems to me centralized training would be cheaper in this case for the membership...because RA-Aus doesn't pay (not should it) for those requiring training to travel to the facility.
  20. Argh.....dreadful...bit love the Mirages.
  21. They certainly have a presence...I love em...but they do appear to have some shortcomings.
  22. I declare your wife the winner on the other thread.
  23. Would be a simple thing to add a "deadman switch" or as it would be a dead engine switch connected to the ignition...
  24. It's not a completely stupid idea...
