  5. It did look to me like it stalled and dropped in on the left... Apparently she was a feisty girl and much loved by all who rode her...did you see the pilot give her an affectionate pat?
  6. That's truly tragic. Such an icon of the Gold Coast.
  7. I believe the mining "boom" held things not related to mining up out west... Hopefully now the mines are in production things will settle down and a "normal" economy can resume...and with it the factory...

  16. I would be very wary unless I had certain hard copy clarification that it was safe to do so from the manufacturer. There are Ra aircraft that can be deadly without the canopy/doors fully latched... Texan and Sav come to mind.
  17. This question was answered on MythBusters... A non qualified and totally unprepared and untrained person was able to land a 747 with only spoken assistance no problem.
  18. The Skyfox had a fin/rudder size upgrade early in it's life...
  19. Informative yet again...my observation is that few within Ra Aus seems to have any solid idea of the rules... Should this be a concern?
  20. I reckon there is a lot of this old Super8 footage hanging around...lets hope whoever's hands it lands up in understands it's importance before it is lost to history...
  21. Why let the kids have all the fun? I would give that a go...
  22. Was the Amethyst Falcon any relation to the Lightwing? http://www.buckmasterfamily.id.au/images/falcon_01_thumb.jpg
  23. Lightwing doors are great for ejecting things out of...
  24. I thought they tried this once before and failed...perhaps the ersa is not accurate...?
  25. It kind of makes sense when you think about it. The aircraft (be it C206 or Gyro) is a useful tool in Outback Australia and is no different to a Dirt Bike or a good horse...
