  1. This is a very interesting thread! Great work Mark
  2. I suppose the question is: how do you prevent this from happening again?
  3. Hi Spades. I hope you will achieve your dream of building and flying your own plane sooner rather than later. Welcome!
  4. Hi Flyflyfly. It is nice to see joining the forum. What type of aircraft do you fly in?
  5. G'day Isak, great to see you joining Recreational Flying. I hope you go well in your training.
  6. Some years ago, I heard that Delaware is another state that is OK with a receipt from a "trailer park" that shows an address. I am not sure that this is still the case.
  7. Hello Thermomix. Great to see another Savannah builder join the forum! Keep us posted on your progress. What surprises me is the massive difference between one Savannah build and the next. I must say, this is what put me off initially. I have seen a US site (now no longer 'on air' and presently undiscoverable) that claimed 100-150 hours to build a Savannah. On the other hand, there are people who have taken 5+ years to build their Savannah. It seems to be impossible to get a good gauge on the build time. Because I am taking a couple of months off work to make a significant start to the project, better/more reliable information about potential build times would have been really useful, even if this included a novice build time and an experienced builder build time.
  8. G'day Martin, to the forum.
  9. Haha, my mate from Ballina is talking about the new green swamp tiger snake that has invaded the Richmond River region. Was this snake an egg-carrying female?
  10. Well done Phil!
  11. It is a bit cheaper to get the same product from Amazon: Amazon.com: Air Capital Rivet Removal Tool, Model# 65007 [Misc.]: Home Improvement I ordered one today.
  12. I doubt whether it is possible to get the build manual without having the kit as well. Because ICP is continually upgrading their Savannahs, the build manual is (presumably) continually being updated as well. That means it is not possible to order just the manual.
  13. You may wish to start a new thread about the electric engine: I am all ears!
  14. Hi Phil. I am not sure about specific aerodrome. However, this is a website that lists them all: http://www.aip.net.nz
  15. I like the way that Marty's ceiling has been sponsored by Bunnings Corporation (BC). Perhaps BC will sponsor an extension too?
  16. Nice Marty!
  17. These devices do not rain: it confuses them .
  18. Do you have any pictures as to how this works in operation?
  19. Very impressive!
  20. Stainless steel work hardens too. I think I will avoid using it myself, when the time comes.
  21. That Canam Defender has no wings, no AirMaster prop, no VGs, no flaperons and no rudder. You need to get back to your Savannah Steve.
  22. Perhaps this is not commercially available. The tool looks 'home made'.
  23. You must be busy on the farm . I hope you pick up the pace again soon. From what I have seen of your mostly-completed plane, yours is a particularly nice-an-neat example of a homebuilt Savannah!
  24. This is obviously a preview what I am going to encounter when I get my Savannah. What is "the attacks of the strutbreaker" in this manual?
