  2. Hey Kaz, Yes - You are right. It's an Aircraft. :) I hear ya!
  3. Thanks Guys I will give this a try when I am back at the bird. Maybe This weekend.
  4. Nah not me that took your bird from Goulburn. Although I would happy to put mine in a school in goulburn under the right conditions. Nigel took that bird to Jasper's. and yes. I'm addicted!! Lol. Can't wait get back in the minute I get out.
  5. Thanks Bernie, It certainly was mate. Something I never thought I would do.
  6. I will agree with some of the others. I am just about finished by Navs etc on RAA and am loving it. So much, I bought a plane. :) ALSO - if you ever wanted to just go for a plod in an RAA plane instead of a big 4 seater, I think you will need to go to RAA flight school and do some crossover training. But if you start with RAA, the all good. I have a mate that flies an Airbus, and to fly my plane he needs to do 5 hours minimum, and sit a flight test. Just a thought.
  7. Thanks lads! Bringing her home was an epic adventure. over 1100 nautical miles and 2 states. :) 11 hours of flying over some of the most awesome country, was just fantastic!
  8. Thanks Guys, I think it might be to do with that black button! I contacted Lightspeed and they were very helpful, so I will have a play when I get back in the bird. Cheers John
  9. Thanks RE. I am very happy with my new baby! There is just not enough days in the week to fly! LOL!
  10. Ok cool. I will have a look shortly and see what I find.
  11. Ok Cool. I will check that out.
  12. Hi there. Thanks for the reply. I bought them new, and have the manual. No mention of it. The signal strength is not the issue. It happens when you are on the ground and in full signal. New batteries etc etc. What the problem is - the noise gate that should let go the moment the pilot stops talking, does not appear to be now, so it basically holds my mic open for too long, meaning, I can't hear the other end until it releases. But not sure how to fix it. The Mic sensitivity is good, as the intercom works perfectly - AND - the first call I made with it was perfect! So not sure what happened.
  13. Hey All, Just found this forum, so I thought I would say hi! I just bought my first aircraft, and I am super excited. I picked up a beautiful Evektor Sportstar with very low hours, and she is a beauty! Looking forward to some very happy fly times. :) Cheers John
  14. Hey guys, So just recently joined the aviation world with the purchase of our new Sportstar and I have a question about a headset that I own. The Lightspeed Zulu 2. The headset was working perfectly on the first flight (Made a phone call over bluetooth, no problem) but when we hopped back in the cockpit the next phone call had issues. When I spoke, the caller's volume stayed really low and I missed a bunch of what they had to say for about 3 or 4 seconds and then it came loud again. very annoying as I really could not hear half the conversation. I have searched but can't find an answer to this little issue. :( Any ideas? Cheers John
