  1. yes - its hard to reconcile all the things we think we know NZ pilot - not an Oz pilot - worked for Company - got promotion - on the turps ? - stole - went flying at night
  2. misinformation ? ........... when I owned by little Tecnam plane - as my daughter was going to Maroochydore - I asked her to get a box of shell engine oil (with all the tech instructions) - when she was aked what sort of plane it was ......... she said it was a 2 door ...... oil was not purchased in the end
  3. I had to check ........... my informant tells me this pilot owned 2 aircraft - both Kappa / sabre - so that starts to make sense why there is one in the garden on a post
  4. that pilots family still live at the address ....... you are right ? - it was a Kappa / sabre
  5. noticed a Sabre ultralight in a garden on rural res land (about 40 kms nth of Gympie) (can't get close to it - don't know its history) looks great - on a timber post at that - by the looks about 2003 / 2004 these planes were very popular and sought after .............................. sabre 2.pdf sabre 1.pdf

    elvis's jetstar motorhome

they are all hustling ............... for a $
  7. in some ways this web site is ground level discussion about things aviation in Australia - facts, opinions, hearsay etc. DG (Dan Gryder) puts it all out there and its a good way to get an idea of things happening in a HUGE aviation environment - USA. I enjoy his weekly broardcasted report If it's a 'chip on a shoulder' or fact ........... all humans suffer that flaw and most of us will recognise it
  8. they need to give the commentator a banana or a bowl of apples ................ so you can hear the plane flying
  9. I can't se how domestic drone delivery improves society - perhaps a medical delivery ..... however it's a great opportunity for neighbouring houses to get in some aerial target practice
  10. interesting to know the logistics of the flight to Oz - the fuel burn comparison with say an airline jet that does that similar flight (google says the Eurofighter Typhoon burns 4500 litres / hour)
  11. that's a lot of motor up there
  12. the old boy (father) in the camera plane had great eyesight ................ never went to specsavers
  13. ............... careful what you say about the king FH - we don't want you dissapearing on us
  14. we could put the male drivers on one side and female drivers on the other side of the road - that might help the authorites have created a paranoia regarding the speed limit - we have cars in 100 kmh zones doing 90 kmh to avoid a ticket .......... and a fair few other cars, behind, all trying to overtake that car Leniency has gone out the window - you are merely driving a machine that is potenmtially a contributor to a state budget

  16. just the sort of thing you should have sitting on the front lawn
  17. I have prepared myself for the public flogging but .............. I always fail to see how buying a raffle ticket - somehow is twisted / seen / construed as supporting a charity - you are just a punter hoping for 'pennies from heaven' the potential prize and charitable component can't be separated. I think most see this form of cash raising as a raffle ticket - not a donation to a charity (the cost of a raffle ticket is not a 'donation' claimable as an income deduction as far as the ATO concerned ............ so perhaps ATO support this opinion ?)
  18. if you look at inaccurate google - your aircraft from the showroom floor is: a) an A330 is $ 250 million US b) an A380 is $ 440 million US - reverse thrust on engines 1 & 4 are extra says the ad that's a good price ? for both .................. if you get plane a) for free
  19. interesting comment that - would nt worry me (nor most of us) having aircraft whizzing around at a strip but bikes (in particular moto X) (road bike get an unqualified exemption Nev) any moto X bikes blipping (for want of a better word) all afternoon can be very annoying and tiring (except I assume if you are on the said moto X bike doing the blipping)
  20. no pun intended I assume spacesailor
  21. in 14.5 years I could be burnt at the stake as a heretic ........... but I think any person that thinks a future society will have flying cars must have a deluded psyhcosis that stems from the Jetsons - probably a parental / paternalistic feeling of nurture & comfort as George ? Jetson blits off to work. Tommorrow I am prepared to wager $ 10,000 that a flying car spciety will never exist

  24. Its great you can live in a country (Oz) - own a 12 cylinder car and get a pensioners rebate on the E-type jag (if that is true) - means you can still throw the lawnmower in the back and go out and earn some pocket money
  25. I see the light now Ian good site - just as it ever was
