  1. Hopefully, 35 m wide and 19 m deep. Either way, you will fit a lot in there. That will be great.
  2. Hi. As RossK said, there are plenty of LSA's that will be fine with you weighing 275 lb. An Aeroprakt Foxbat/Valor also has good useful load. As Facthunter said, you won't actually save time. I had a lap band and then I had gastric bypass. I weigh 220 lb. So, there are shortcuts. I admire Bosi72 that he could lose weight.
  3. You would get much better function if you hired someone to fly you where ever you need to go, be it in a Cessna or on Virgin. Cheaper, faster and you would have SO much extra time. (Of course, if you have very specific circumstances, like flying to muster or commute between two rural properties, then this post is me being wrong.)
  4. If the strip is unserviceable, you might have undercarriage-violently-removed trouble.
  5. I just sent RAAus some feedback about their magazine. “In case I ever meet Steve at a dinner, please let him know in advance that he can [redacted for here] right off already.” Maybe Im in a bad mood.
  6. The article by the flying instructor was really rude. Remind me not to talk to him lest I be judged and written about. His fellow diners probably stopped talking to him when he got defensive because, shock horror, he didn’t know what wine to order.
  7. Im fine with it. Get them to revive the off-topic section.
  8. How much did they know before the Americans arrived? And what could they do? Apparently some Jewish people in America knew there was a problem but did not want to cry wolf. What could the Allies have done? Changed their mind and decide to win the war?
  9. One book = no books. Behaviour is determined by lots of different factors too determined, too. And, organisations are made up of lots of different people.
  10. With cars becoming more and more fly-by-wire, producing RHD and LHD cars might actually eventually become cheaper.
  11. I’m at a controlled aerodrome ATM. When I’m not, I will need to add “radio check” to my checklist. If truckies can do it then I can too. My bet is that radio check is not on everybody’s list.
  12. I don’t understand how you can be sure that all the traffic will turn up on your iPad. I thought OzRunways just reported OzRunways planes and vice versa for the other mob? I have a transponder but don’t understand them.
  13. They have a Youtube channel, 24 subscribers, and no videos.
  14. I still don't understand it. The wheels drive the propeller. The wheels are pushed by the body of the car... which is pushed by the propeller.
  15. Yeah. He couldn't stop himself being a bit sarcastic when he was saying that it could not be done.
  16. Yeah. I thought that I understood it because boats can sail faster than the wind. Then I realised that I still didn't understand it. IIRC, the wheels drive the propeller, FFS.
  17. What’s your view about the occupied territories?
  18. This video illustrated why it annoys me that the first thing that pilots are taught is that if you pull back on the stick, the aircraft climbs. The things people learn first tend to stick.
  19. That sounds like turbulence off the black runway and nothing to do with DA.
  20. Richer mixture, less friction, cooler oil, better air ducting in AND out. Worked for me. Theoretically, heat lost from oil cooling can contribute to thrust.
  21. To be honest, I have actually got my J230 to run faster and cooler.
  22. OME have you appropriated *another* account? 😧
  23. Do you want your money back?
  24. So you did the trigonometry for the wind? Wow.
