  1. Sorry but I have strong views on these matters. When I saw it , it just "Jumped Out" at ME. Not suggesting it was arranged. People may have a feeling where they should place themselves. I always look who gets in the front of a Photo. IT can tell you things. By rights it should be the shortest. Nev
  2. The Picture might not look good when it's promulgated. That's NOT My doing. It's in the Public Domain.. Should comment be forbidden like it is in some countries you wouldn't want to live in.? I think NOT. Nev
  3. So how do you propose to improve the situation.? People involved in Aviation have had to contend with this sort of thing forever. Nev
  4. UTTER BS. Pointing it out CAN NOT be racist. Where is the" Logic" Part of YOUR brain? Can't we have sensible discussion here anymore and free speech. It's NOT ME who should explain myself. Nev
  5. You're a small minority. Get used to it OR keep fighting. Nev
  6. I'm NOT implying anything but it's an unfortunate photo, is it not? Pointing it out, DOESN''T make ME racist. Nev

    Wanted - Europa

King Just a record of incidents with them WHEN WINDS GET UP. Usually one side Uc leg and wing damage. The usual LOW speed aircraft gust sensitivities. Sorry I didn't pick this up sooner. Nev
  8. Yawn, ZZzzzzzzzzzzzz Nev
  9. I have never emphasised the risk at the time of doing the test, although those informing ,always mention it as" small" A % is often allied to many other procedures. It's the one that happens a week or more after.. Pilots suffer unexpected Cardiac events like any other person does.' The test has been proven not to be effective in PREDICTING such events. Pilots encounter a high level of stress in their lives one of which is not knowing whether they have a job beyond their Next Medical. AVmed regard their decisions as beyond challenge. even by specialists and experts in the field. How is THAT OK, especially when the money paid for that Position is relatively low for the qualifications required to do the Job Properly. Nev
  10. The IDEA should NOT be to "Ground People". That's too easy and unfair. and the attitude we have had to resist all along. These silly medicals go back to the Military as a method of selection when FLAT FEET and such trivial things would exclude you. You had to be the fittest of the fit to be a sitting duck in the Airforce. Nev
  11. Kyle, you got AROUND what the RAAus DID. I stand by what I wrote. Nev
  12. They All FATIGUE and corrode in hard to detect places. Fatigue life assessment of small planes is NOT carried Out. Extensive required / mandated inspections and AD's have to be done on MOST older GA planes, More so with large planes where thy have Pressurisation and flying hours LIFE limitations. The Al tube wing spar is a bit suss in the kit fox range. and steel tube corrodes internally where you CAN'T see it. Piper Tri Pacer etc . Auster frames near the rudder. ALL planes have a limited useful life especially those operated in a salty environment. NOTHING beats a BRAND new ONE They even have a Nice new Plane smell and perform closer to the book figures. Flying is a great way to get rid of excess money.. Who doesn't find THAT out? Nev
  13. They don't HAVE to get put off the roads They SHOULD be treated. Many do and are living Normal lives. You have the wrong take on it. DID you read my post about 3 back where I covered this. OPEN heart surgery pilots have gotten back in the Air with 1 st ATPL level. We don't HAVE to live in the DARK ages Medically. Nev
  14. Do the aircraft get stronger as they age? These types are far from NEW now. Nev
  15. Got the message or him.? It's ambiguous. Nev
  16. LSA is a stop Gap category with as many problems as benefits.. 19- xxx registration used to give freedom to the builder. RAAus sold out self maintenance to get a weight rise. A weight increase is a safety matter . We need more than 300 Kgs empty weight to carry US and a realistic payload and fuel unless it's composite or very carefully built. nev
  17. The ultrasound anytime is OK No risk with that. Arrythmia will stop you suddenly. People who do these tests aren't going to be TOO critical of them. They get well Paid for doing them. Some make a living doing nothing else.' Good, and Timely medication is what keeps you alive, as well as surgery., where Indicated. Multiple bypass pilots have continued to fly since about 1988.. Tests are just tests with stress You went OK THAT time. They Don't FIX anything .It's like revving a car engine UP. Next time you do it a conrod may let Go, You may also suffer a stroke. 2 types. Blockage and haemorrhagic in the Brain. and blood clots in various parts of your body. Drink enough WATER. Live a healthy lifestyle IF you want to keep on flying . Don't carry excess fat in the wrong places . Keep your blood pressure under control.. (medication) Avoid stress if you can. Nev
  18. Guns speak louder than Phones. Nev
  19. Shooting an Instrument approach in rough and marginal weather sees Pulse rates of over 200. often. Nev
  20. Round up the women in your life. Too dangerous. They wouldn't cop that. Nev
  21. You only have to get to 150 but there is a duration 9 minutes? requirement as well.. This Test has been been contested for many years. as dangerous and ineffective at predicting heart attacks. I've been investigating it since the 70s' and Many Cardiologists agree. It's not just Me on a crusade.. nev
  22. Strange how the More pigmented people are in the back row. Co incidence? Nev
  23. It's done with sequencing valves. Any foul up and things get mangled. Undercarriage Locks get put in on the ground to prevent unintentional retracts. There's extensive Bracing of main gear legs and they usually extend outwards from the fuselage , Things have to be fail safe. A bit of gear door can be considered sacrificial. ,on the landing roll but must not happen when retracting. Nev
