  1. It wouldn't want to come loose or seize up. Pneumatic pressure brings the gear UP FAST and helps the climb gradient achieved. Nev
  2. THEY (3AW)select/encourage the Audience and love to stir about anything they can dig up. Too negative for me . I have no doubt that this one will rate as the worst. . Airshows are not attended by a big section of the Community either. Nev
  3. Air compressors are not that inefficient if they are made well.. Universal gas laws prevail. Heat energy can be lost in most set ups. Some planes were users of compressed air for brakes, steering and U/C extension. retraction. 3600psi 4 stage air compressor (Dunlop)in the F 27. Nev
  4. Thats the sort of $#!t 3AW thrives on but ... disappointing and people will vote with their feet.. Nev
  5. IT IS Bl@@dy dangerous wherever it happens. IMHO. Nev
  6. Penfield would have raked in a lot of Dough applying that. People were always zooming through the Circuit there. Nev
  7. The USER has no say in it. Like it or quit Aviation.. Doesn't pass the Reasonable test. Like a lot of things in Aviation. Nev
  8. The PIC has a legal responsibility to Operate in the safest possible way. Think about that, because IF the $#1t hits the FAN that's how you will be measured. Nev

  16. No the Airfield Owners CHOSE to use them and have a responsibility for how they behave in the way users are dealt with at the end of the day. They generally don't care as long as they get their money and think they can wipe their hands of the Matter. Easy way out for them. What IF they employed "Strong arm " Merchants? AVDATA is not squeaky clean with their methods and there's TOO many Mistakes for whatever the reason it should not be the Customers Problem who has NO Choice. What's the POINT of tackling the Airfield owners when you were NEVER within 500 miles of the Places you are being billed for? Nev
  17. The Current USA Gov't have to accept FULL responsibility for the way they have "chosen" to treat former loyal allies and broken existing agreements, unilaterally Them's the facts of the Matter. Nev

  19. Welcome to SIN CITY. Maybe Gympie? Nev
  20. AVDATA are a Monopoly debt collecting show that profits from getting the Money for the Aerodrome Operator but you should be offered an alternative way to pay DIRECT, and reduce the cost to you. I suggest this situation is ILLEGAL and should be tested. Aircraft operators have Never signed a consent form with AVDATA. They don't listen to your statement that the Plane couldn't be yours. Make a STAT Declaration , Don't PAY THEM and let them charge you for Perjury. Nev
  21. For Low level aeros, you use QFE which reads zero when on the ground. AVALON has an elevation of 35 feet AMSL Nev
  22. 92 was the first year at Avalon. There would have been airshows at other Places before then. Pt Cook . I think I can recall going there and Williamstown NSW and Richmond NSW.
