    I flew an C150 H once, it was ok.

    All of this is doing my head in, forms this, paper work that. When I want to go for fly, I simply book an aircraft online a few days before I want it. I then wake up, poke my head outside and check the weather. If it is good, I go. Why do so many people want to complicate things with this and that. Just go for a spin peeps and enjoy it.

    Yup and I actually finished my certificate in a LSA 55 Jab. Lol. 4 different types . There is a reason behind it. I joined the RAAF half way through training and went to Wagga. I had big break before finishing my training in the Jab.

    Its cheaper to bribe the boat captains ten grand than to let them risk the sea voyage that could easily end in multiple drownings plus feeding them in camps cost a hell of a lot more. Pretty easy to understand why they use a policy of bribing.

    It's been mentioned in other threads a couple of times. Waste of money IMO. Plus the wage is only around 77k from memory.

    In the latest magazine, a gent wrote in asking how are the RAA is going to notify pilots about safety issues ect as the magazine was going online. ( I think he doesn't have massive download avaliable) He was basically told to either read the magazine online or pay the extra money to have the paper version delivered. That to me seems like a cop out.

    I trained in 3 different aircraft all with in the first 4 hours of training, Piper Tomahawk for 2 hours, Huges Lightwing for 1 hour and then onto the XP 503 Drifter. Flyng different aircraft makes a better pilot I reckon. Go for it.

    The pilot was Ray Jackson and he was an instructor at Byron Bay microlights. He was very experienced . My condolences to Rays family and friends.

    With all this talk of suing, I am going to put all of my assets into God's name. So good luck suing God if you can find him, hell, good luck finding if he/ she even exists. If anybody tells me that he doesn't exist, I can simply say that he talks to me when I pray and he told me I can used all of ' his' assets until I cark it.

    I don't see General aviation aircraft taken off the CASA register and transferred to a RAAO anytime soon, if ever.

    And this shows that we do not have a level playing field. Simple solution would be for CASA to issue ultralight pilot certificates.

    I agree, there isn't currently a Raa registered aircraft that would be classed as high performance. The only thing that was, was the Spitfire mk26 with the V6 and V 8 engines that should never had been registered with the RAA anyway.

    Yup turbo beat me to it, only QLD stays on AEST for the whole year. They other mobs, NSW and VIC go onto Australian eastern summer time also known as Australian eastern daylight time.
