  1. More dribble from a disgruntled Labor voter. Your mates got the state into the mess it is currently it. Plus Newman did a great job getting rid of the dead wood in the public service.
  2. Yeah because of the massive interest debt that has to be paid, left by the previous elected retards, ya cabbage.
  3. They have only been dong this to pay off the massive debt left by the previous state Labor government. Plus I thought they were only leasing the state assets ?
  4. All of the above is plausible but I still think in this modern era with the checks and balances that are in place. Ie- government scrutiny. One would hope that every decision on major contracts is fully scrutinised .
  5. I would think that the state government would have certain parameters which they must abide by when putting out to tender different contracts. The the best value for money would be one of them. People let emotion get in the way of business.
  6. Number 4 must be a re hatched version from the states as it mentions the age 21 for drinking alcohol when it should be 18.
  7. The climate has always been in a state of change.
  8. yup and most passengers are dumb $hits who have no idea.
  9. It has never been Ford verses Holden. More like Holden verses BMW. Nobody denies that Rotax are a lot more expensive than Jab motors. But quality costs money. That is why I own two KTM Motorcycles. Expensive yes, but top quality stuff with the latest technology. You only get what you pay for.
  10. It is that unusual for a RPT to divert. On more than one occasion a QL -8 has had to divert to Roma for fuel because of weather at Miles. Maybe twice a year.
  11. There was a fair bit of dodgy $hit going on with the manufacturer, he high tailed it out of Australia to set up shop in the states. It didnt go down to well when one of his aircraft and mates ( test pilot) was doing aerobatics in a RAA registered example with Charlie Boorman as pax, then it ended up on the TV series By any means.
  12. The new DAS Mark Skidmore is a reasonable and approachable sort of bloke , he is totally different to the previous guy. It is going to take him a while to get his head around civil aviation but it is not all doom and gloom.
  13. Jeez I hope the 7252 in your Avatar isnt your rego number. CASA may be gunning for you after they have finished their festive activities.
  14. I agree, they are made by Aerostar in Romania who also built the Yak 52's so it has a good pedigree. The MTOW gets a bit confusing , Wilkipedia says MTOW of only 450 kg, somewhere else it said 530 kg and the western world distributors all say 600 kg.
  15. Yup must a typo, everybody knows the the max weight is 600 kg for a RAA registered airplane, the aircraft may possibly have a 630 MTOW but it would still be restricted to 600 kilograms while registered here.
  16. I think you have more importing things to worry about mate like what your aircraft is worth. Which isnt much I suspect.
  17. You dont get it do you Oscar, the Jabiru engine has always been below standard when compared to other aircraft engines. It is the classic of "you only get for what you paid for." Statistics tells me this, not personal opinion. Nobody has ever said that aviation was cheap.
  18. Howdy
  19. Well cheap when compared to other new two seaters.
  20. Hi Kaz, the aircrew of A8-127 was Pilot Jeremy McNess and Navigator Mark Cairns- Cowan. John Holt died in A8-133 in 1977 after a bird strike.
  21. The new Zlin Savage Agilis is a cheap two seater.
  22. Interesting that their current business model was based on the Aussie dollar being at 88 cents and above US. They have been in business since 1990 and a lot of that time the aussue dollar was around 75 cents.
  23. I dunno, it will take a long time to swim anywhere.
  24. The Ruskies is only one example. Other countries have been fine using nuclear powered ships and Subs.
